CFO – Prominent Multiple HNW Family Office – Midtown – $350k-$450k + B

(Compensation Commensurate with Experience)

Seeking a senior financial professional with in-depth experience in the implementation and management of financial operations for a premier family office. This role will oversee concierge services and address all financial needs for family members with sophisticated and varied global investments including private equity and hedge funds, equity and fixed income portfolios, real estate, artwork/collectables and more. This professional will oversee a team of talented tax, accounting, finance, treasury, operations, and wealth management professionals. Areas of expertise necessary must include family office, financial management, tax structuring, portfolio valuation and reporting, partnership accounting, budgeting, cost control, financial analysis, technology implementations, trusts/foundation, and estate planning.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead and manage a complex financial operation, overseeing accounting, financial reporting, treasury, IT, and operations, while optimizing technology, streamlining workflows, and mentoring talent.
• Provide concierge financial services to a high-net-worth family, managing a complex structure of 100+ entities, including individuals, trusts, investment partnerships, and foundations.
• Ensure tax compliance across individual, trust, partnership, and foundation structures, overseeing planning and reporting.
• Serve as a trusted advisor on wealth preservation, estate planning, and philanthropy for multiple generations.
• Oversee investment due diligence, acquisitions, dispositions, and performance monitoring.
• Manage internal controls, risk management, and financial software to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
• Lead special projects, including legal agreement reviews and strategic initiatives.
• Liaise with external advisors in legal, tax, banking, insurance, and finance to align with long-term business objectives.

Requirements:

• Professional Must have 10 + years of experience leading a HNW family office or a leadership role within a CPA firm, wealth management service group or private bank.
• Must have strong managerial experience and have direct exposure and earned trust of top level HNW family members
• Big 10, CPA, JD and MBA are all pluses. Tax knowledge is a must.
