Aesthetic Dentistry of Manhattan is in search of a Dental Hygienist to join our dedicated team in providing comprehensive dental care to our patients. The Dental Hygienist will play a vital role in promoting oral health, preventing dental diseases, and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate professional who is committed to delivering exceptional dental care.
Primary Responsibilities :
Patient Care :
- Conduct thorough dental cleanings to remove plaque, tartar, and stains.
- Perform oral cancer screenings and assess patients' oral health.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
Dental Examinations :
- Assist dentists in assessing and documenting patients' oral health.
- Take and develop dental X-rays as required.
- Chart and document periodontal conditions and treatment plans.
Treatment Planning :
- Collaborate with the dental team to develop and discuss treatment plans.
- Provide recommendations for at-home oral care based on patients' needs.
Patient Comfort :
- Ensure patient comfort and manage anxiety during dental procedures.
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed.
Qualifications :
- Dental Hygiene License: Current license to practice dental hygiene in [State].
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a dental hygienist.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication and patient education skills.
