Job Description

A prominent regional law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal with a strong background in trial preparation and courtroom procedures to join their dynamic legal team on a temp-to-perm basis . The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of litigation processes, trial preparation, and case management, and will be able to effectively assist attorneys throughout all stages of litigation. This role begins fully remote, and will then transition to hybrid, candidates must be local to the LA metro area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize and manage trial binders, exhibits, and witness files.
• Assist attorneys in preparing courtroom presentations, including demonstratives and trial technology.
• Coordinate with court personnel and opposing counsel for trial logistics.
• Attend and provide on-site trial support, including handling exhibits and managing trial materials.
• Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal and factual research to support case strategy.
• Summarize depositions, medical records, and other key case documents.
• Maintain case calendars, including deadlines, hearings, depositions, and trial dates.
• Coordinate document production, including eDiscovery processes.
• Organize and analyze documents and evidence for discovery and trial purposes.
• Prepare subpoenas, request records, and follow up on responses.
• Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information and schedule meetings.
• Assist in preparing witnesses and experts for depositions or trial testimony.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of litigation paralegal experience, including trial experience.
• Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent education.
• Proficiency in legal research tools, eDiscovery platforms, and case management software (e.g., Relativity, Concordance, TrialDirector, or similar tools).
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with federal and state court procedures and rules.
• Ability to travel and work extended hours during trials.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Experience in complex litigation or a specific practice area (e.g., medical malpractice, product liability, or employment law).

Compensation:

$40 - $60/hr. depending on experience.
