About the Role

Are you an experienced leader with a passion for equipment reliability and team development? As the Maintenance Manager at our milk production facility, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant. You’ll oversee all maintenance activities, manage a skilled team of technicians, and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime. Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop the maintenance team to ensure optimal performance.
• Oversee and implement preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and technical issues to minimize production downtime.
• Coordinate and schedule repairs and maintenance with production to ensure minimal disruption.
• Manage the maintenance budget, including ordering parts, equipment, and supplies as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Analyze equipment performance and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Develop and implement strategies for equipment upgrades and the introduction of new technologies.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial maintenance, or related field (preferred), or equivalent experience.

Required Skills

• Proven experience as a maintenance manager in a food production or manufacturing environment, ideally in ice cream or dairy.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and technical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and systems optimization.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage budgets and ensure cost-effective maintenance operations.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, food safety, and sanitation requirements.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Flexibility to be on-call or available for emergency maintenance as needed.
