Mechanical Design Engineer

• Contribute to innovative designs as part of a collaborative and hands-on team in a family-owned, growing company.
• Partner with manufacturing teams to design and configure products that meet customer specifications.
• Use Creo Parametric to create detailed 3D models of products.
• Develop 2D CAD layouts for patterns and parts using AutoCAD.
• Assist in designing new products and configurations to improve manufacturing efficiency.
• Create standard models and configure products based on customer preferences.
• Collaborate with manufacturing departments to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with all teams to ensure alignment and project continuity.
• Work full-time, in-office, where collaboration drives success.

Since 1938, MH Eby has been a trusted leader in designing and manufacturing high-quality aluminum trailers and truck bodies for livestock, equipment, and bulk commodity transportation. We seek a skilled and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team and play a key role in supporting our manufacturing operations across various product lines. This position is an exciting opportunity to contribute to designing and developing durable, high-performance transportation equipment. If you have experience in the truck, trailer, or automotive manufacturing industry and proficiency in CAD software, we'd love to have you join our fun and collaborative team.

Our Ideal Mechanical Design Engineer:

• Experienced : 1+ years of mechanical design experience preferred; recent Mechanical Engineering graduates with internships are encouraged to apply. Experience in truck, trailer, or automotive manufacturing is a plus, as is knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical systems. Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., DOT, SAE) is helpful.
• Tech-Savvy : Proficiency in CAD software is required; experience with Creo is a plus.
• Team-Oriented : Easy-going and enjoys collaborating with a fun-loving team while contributing to a supportive and dynamic workplace.
• Detail-oriented : Focused on accuracy and precision to ensure the highest quality in designs and production processes.
• Hard-Working : Committed to going the extra mile to meet deadlines and deliver exceptional results.
• Self-motivated : Takes initiative, manages tasks independently, and seeks growth opportunities.
• Physically Capable : Able to lift, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods as needed.
