Position Summary:

This position demands a high level of expertise in all facets of accounting, demonstrated leadership qualities, effective communication, technical aptitude, organization, personal time management and project management skills. 

 

The key role of the production manager will be to lead the production team to deliver high-quality technical accounting work while meeting and exceeding client expectations. This role will primarily be a direct production role (delivering higher-level accounting services) but will also serve as the production team lead, project manager and technical mentor to the staff.

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • The position requires you to report to the Director of Value Delivery.
  • Your role is to act as the Project Manager overseeing our Production Team serving our planning and recurring accounting clients.
  • You will oversee and review the work performed by the Production Team.
  • You will be responsible for tracking key metrics of the Production Team, including utilization goals, on-time completion of client work, and average billable rate goals.
  • This role is lead for the development of the Production Team members including client specific accounting and finance requirements and soft-skilled communication and presentation.
  • Your team will be comprised of Accountants, Bookkeepers, and Finance professionals. 
  • Your role is also to develop and adhere to rigorous QC standards, and to be the primary reviewer of your team’s work, to ensure quality, successful, and on-time completion.
  • You will have the ability to create and develop the team and processes to support Flexure’s production growth, including working with Senior Leadership to further enhance the team’s clarity, alignment, and goals.
  • Utilize, manage and develop into a technical lead in our tech stack, specifically MS Teams, MS Apps, QuickBooks Online (QBO), QuickBooks Desktop, Fathom, Gusto payroll, Dext, Bill.com, and QBox.

 

Technical Skills:

 

The successful applicant needs a very high level of technical knowledge and an ability to apply it to finalize Jobs for the Production Manager, including:

 

· Preparing reconciled and adjusted trial balances.

· Overseeing and Reviewing month and year-ends.

· Preparing Financial Statements for all entity types.

· Preparing budgets and cash flow forecasts.

· Use of the following software:

o Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge

o Adobe Acrobat

o Karbon – project management tool

o Suralink - document exchange

· Strong understanding of the Financial Statements, including Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss and Cashflow Statements, with the ability to review financial performance and provide input on strategies to improve the client business 

· Effective project management and oversight of all accounting functions (full charge) for our clients. 

· GAAP and tax basis financial reporting 

· Payroll processing, review and reporting 

· Compliance reporting for Washington State

· Maintaining general industry knowledge and the regulatory environment 

· Accounting for inventory 

· Cost accounting methodologies

· Lead, develop, and grow a team of planning service professionals

Education Requirement:

· Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred but may be substituted with applicable experience.

· 4-Year Accounting Degree

· The CPA or CMA qualification is desirable but not a necessity. 

Experience Requirement:

  • 7 years of experience in finance or accounting.
  • 5 years of experience in a supervisory/managerial role.
  • Public Accounting experience, at least Manager level, preferred
  • Strong project management and prioritization skills.
  • Familiarity with our tech stack applications and their integration.

Salary and Benefits:

  •  $95,000-$110,000, based on experience
