Scrum Master

Location: Auburn Hills, MI

Work Schedule: Hybrid (Onsite 2x weekly) Job Responsibilities:

• Facilitate adherence to Agile principles and best practices such as Scrum and Kanban.
• Guide the Product Owner in effectively organizing the Product Backlog to maximize business value.
• Provide insights into team health, including people, processes, progress, and overall satisfaction, to Technology and Business Leaders.
• Coach team members to adopt and enhance Agile practices.
• Proactively remove impediments for the team and escalate issues when necessary.
• Shield the Scrum Team from external distractions to ensure focus and productivity.
• Coach stakeholders, including Product Owners, Development Teams, and leadership, on Agile values and principles.
• Assess team maturity and drive continuous improvement at a sustainable pace.
• Identify and address skill, process, and resource gaps within the team.
• Foster a safe and trusting environment where challenges can be raised and resolved without fear.
• Encourage modern development practices, such as DevOps, security protocols, and SRE principles.
• Organize daily stand-ups and monitor daily work efforts.
• Evaluate team performance using metrics and reports to drive improvement.
• Act as a liaison between business and technology for production-critical issues to ensure seamless operations.

• 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master leading multiple teams and projects in IT development.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM I) or equivalent.
• Strong abilities in servant leadership, facilitation, conflict resolution, situational awareness, and fostering transparency.
• Proficient in Agile methodologies and techniques, such as Burndown charts, retrospectives, User Stories, TDD, Continuous Integration/Testing, and Agile Games.
• Excellent prioritization and work assignment skills to meet deadlines effectively.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently or within a team with minimal guidance.

Note: Knowledge or experience in automated testing, paired programming, and other advanced Agile techniques is a plus.
