Vice President of Finance

Location: Portsmouth, NH (or North Shore of MA)

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must have extensive finance and accounting knowledge, great attention to detail, and 10+ years of accounting/finance experience, preferably in the investment management industry.

• Current licensed CPA with Public Accounting firm experience (Big Four is a plus).
• Strong team player, organized, and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to multitask and communicate complex issues and resolutions effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all duties are accurately performed, deadlines are strictly adhered to, tasks are well-managed, and all department employees are cross-trained.
• Preparation of quarterly financial statements and supporting analytical reports, as well as periodic regulatory and tax reporting.
• General ledger management and analysis using QuickBooks.
• Work with Big 4 Audit and Tax professionals to provide timely critical documentation.
• Internal audit activities include advisory fee billing and collections, accounts payable, and credit card transaction processing.
• Hedge Fund and Mutual Fund reviews of period-end accounting and reporting.
• Expense analysis, cost control, and special projects for the CFO and CEO.
• Maintenance of policy and procedure manuals for all duties performed within the Finance department.
