West Central Community Action is seeking a Teacher for the Madison Avenue Early Head Start classrooms. This position will have a direct focus on children 0 to 3 years of age in Council Bluffs.
Teachers are responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for each child. This includes lifting, diapering, feeding, washing, and sitting on the floor with all Early Head Start ages. Teachers are responsible for the planning, management, operation and evaluation of the program in their room.
AA/AS, prefer BA/BS, in Early Childhood, with infant/toddler emphasis, valid driver’s license and liability insurance required. Infant/Toddler CDA at a minimum.
Benefits include health, dental and life insurance, vacation/sick pay, 13 paid holidays, IPERS and 403(B) retirement programs. This position has a starting rate of $15.59 per hour and may be eligible for the federal student loan forgiveness program.
