hackajob has partnered with a prominent organization in the IT services, consulting, and financial services sectors, seeking an experienced Java Software Engineer to join their team.

Role: Java Software Engineer

Location: Sunrise, Florida, USA

Work Set-up: Hybrid

Salary: Up to $150k annually + bonus + benefits

Employment Type: Fulltime

Key Responsibilities:

• Hands-on Java engineer with expertise in developing complex, large scale enterprise applications.
• Build highly scalable non-blocking microservices using enterprise framework based on Vert.x, Spring Boot.
• Core member of an agile team driving the latest development practices.
• Writing code and unit tests, working with API specs and automation, participating in code review.
• Enable the deployment, support, and monitoring of software across test, integration, and production environments.
• Collaborating with architects, product owners, developers and other scrum teams to deliver a quality product.
• Identifying opportunities for adopting new technologies - influencing team members with creative changes and improvements by challenging status quo.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related experience required.
• 3+ years of software development experience in a professional environment.
• Hands-on experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, microservices, SQL.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms and design patterns.
• Hands-on expertise with application design, software development and automated testing.
• Demonstrated experience in Agile development, application design, software development, and testing.
• RESTful API development experience.
• Experience with continuous integration/deployment ( Jenkins, Maven, XLR, Mockito, SOAPUI, JMeter, OpenShift, Public Cloud(AWS/GCP/Azure), Docker ).
• Good to have if hands-on experience with any BPM frameworks such as Camunda, JBPM , etc.
• Must be aware or worked on distributed log analytics like Splunk , Kibana.
• Ability to effectively communicate to internal and external business partners on architecture and solution design.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and exploit them to their optimal potential.
